Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor

The reason why Tyler Perry’s movies make money is because he is making movies that the urban public wants to see. The critics blasted this movie and For Colored Girls but I thoroughly enjoyed both movies.
In Temptation an ambitious married woman's temptation by a handsome billionaire leads to betrayal, recklessness, and forever alters the course of her life.
The movie stars newcomer Jurnee Smollett-Bell who gives a fair performance but is way better than Kim Kardashian who plays an office assistant. Pery fans were right to protest when they heard she was going to be in one of his movies. Vanessa Williams also stars but it’s Robbie Jones as Harley that gives a breakthrough performance.

Verdict:
This will not win an Academy award but it’s a movie that has a message and if you like Perry movies you will not be disappointed.

Spring Breakers

This movie is not for everybody but it is different and Director Harmony Korine takes viewers on a journey to a Spring Break that has never been shown before.
The story is about four college girls who land in jail after robbing a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation find themselves bailed out by a drug and arms dealer who wants them to do some dirty work.
James Franco plays the drug and arms dealer named Alien. His performance is a must see because for once he is acting rather than showing up and looking cute.
The movie also stars 2 Disney Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens who look to escape their heritage but its Ashley Benson from Pretty Little Liars that delivers.

Spring Breakers has an ending that you don’t expect and you will want to see it again.
Best scene is the Britney Spears montage.

Verdict:
Well done flick. Harmony Korine is a director to watch.

GI Joe Retaliation

Where do I begin? This movie was slated to come out last year and when it didn’t it’s always a red flag that the movie is poor. Sure enough it is. The first GI Joe: Rise of The Cobra was entertaining and had semi breakthrough performance by Sienna Miller, playing a villain, and Marlon Wayans, playing a Joe, and Dennis Quaid even was in it and gave a decent performance. All of these stars are not in part 2 and even Channing Tatum looks like he wanted out because he is barely in this movie.
So if you have a poor script for an action movie and you want to make it a hit what do you do? You bring in The Rock. Well it worked for Fast and Furious but it does not work for this film.
The story itself seems like it was cut and pasted together.

Verdict:
Can you be bored watching an action movie? YES!
