It took me awhile to sit down and write this review
because I was amazed on how great a movie it was.
The movie is based on the true story of Jordan Belfort,
from his rise to a wealthy stockbroker living the high life to his fall
involving crime, corruption and the federal government. Leonardo DiCaprio gives
the performance of his lifetime and Martin
Scorsese creates a movie that stands up to his best films.
That’s how good this movie is.
Jonah Hill proves once again that he is worthy of “A”
List material.
Leo DiCaprio should win the Oscar because Matthew
McConaughey was good in his brief cameo in Wall St.
but should not win the Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club. Leo gives the performance
of his life. Margot Robbie also gives a breakthrough performance as Leo’s 2nd wife.
The movie is 3 hrs long but it’s so good it doesn’t feel
like it.
Verdict:
This is Leo’s Raging Bull. Instant Classic for the ages.
