Is there anything that we don’t know about Spiderman and his origin? No.
Are there movies that come out that are in 3D but really are not? Yes.
So why reboot this Superhero so soon?
The most glaring answer I got when watching this movie is merchandising.
SPOILER ALERT:
There is a scene in the movie where Spidey once again saves a kid. During this rescue the kid has to put on Spiderman’s mask. Kids in the audience were wearing Spiderman clothing fresh from Target and they LOVED this movie. This was also their chance to see a Spidey movie on the big screen.
The movie is about how Peter Parker finds a clue that might help him understand why his parents disappeared when he was young. His path puts him on a collision course with Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner.
The story starts out briskly and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man is a gifted actor. The movie however is 2 hours long and all you really just want to see is Spidey kick ass which does not take place until well into the 2nd act.
Verdict:
Nothing new but I recommend going to see it on the big screen but not in 3D.
