Getaway

Don't get this movie confused with the Steve McQueen's awesome classic or the Alec Baldwin remake of McQueen's movie.
Getaway is at the top of my list as the worst movie of 2013.
This is the story of a former race car driver played by Ethan Hawke who is pitted against the clock when his wife is kidnapped by a mysterious villain. He commanders a young woman's car, Selena Gomez, and takes her on on a high-speed race against time.
Gomez may have been good on the Disney Channel but on the big screen she can't act her way out of a paper bag.
The first half of the movie seems to be a commercial for the Mustang Shelby because the Director constantly shows the name of the product so you won't forget.
Story is weak, editing sucks, and the car chases seem all the same. It felt like I was watching the Blues Brothers because of all the police cars that are destroyed in this movie.

Verdict:
Stay away should have been the title of this movie.
