This story has been done before however don't assume you can figure this movie out.
When Keller Dover's (played by Hugh Jackman) daughter and her friend go missing, he takes matters into his own hands as the police pursue multiple leads and the pressure mounts. But just how far will Jackman go to protect his family?
The movie has many "A" list actors including Academy Award winner Melissa Leo (who is great in every movie) in an unrecognisable role.
Director Denis Villeneuve does a good job of keeping viewers focused on the story during this 2 and 1/2 hr. movie.
Jake Gyllenhaal gives a great, restrained performance as the cop that is looking for Jackman's child. He is surounded by police officers and his boss who all have their head up their asses when it comes to trying to find the children. That was my only issue with the film. Are cops really this dumb when it comes to investigating?
